Dear GCCCD AFT Guild Members,
As I announced on January 16th and discussed during our professional development week presentation last week, we have reached a tentative agreement with the District on a new faculty contract which will run from January 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021!
This comes after 26 months of negotiations, and was only made possible by the election of Brad Monroe and Linda Cartwright to our Governing Board, who joined with incumbents Debbie Justeson and Elena Adams to cast the votes needed for a long awaited and long overdue settlement.
I also want to thank all of our AFT Executive Council and Negotiating Team members who suffered through the past 26 months with me to make this settlement a reality: Judd Curran, Michael Golden, Gregg Robinson, Andre Andersen , Raquel Jacob-Almeida, Seth Slater, Kim Bailey, Victoria Curran, Rachelle Panganiban, Osvaldo Torres, Sara Ferguson, Manuel Mancillas-Gomez, June Yang, Julio Soto, Rick Cassar, and Danielle Short.
