VEBA Update on the Coronavirus Coverage

 

VEBA is committed to the health and safety of our members. The VEBA Board has ensured that diagnostic testing and the accompanying physician visit will have no cost-sharing (copay, co-insurance or deductible), based on medical necessity by a physician, regardless of test result. Members will be responsible for the treatment of COVID-19, subject to their specific plan benefits.

Attached is a summary of how each carrier will handle testing given the specifics of the plan. Please share with your employees so they understand their carrier’s coverage. In addition, pdfs from each VEBA carrier with general background information about coronavirus are attached.
