Dear AFT Guild Union Members,
Our next AFT Guild Union Meeting will be held this Thursday, October 3rd, beginning at 3:00pm at Mesa College in the Mesa Commons, room MC-211. There is parking available along the street in front of the MC building, and there is also a parking structure as you enter the campus on the left hand side.
We will also be having a Zoom webinar option where you will be able to listen in to the meeting.
Attached is the tentative agenda for this Thursday’s meeting. We will be voting on the following items:
a) Approval of AFT Guild 2023-24 Fiscal Year Audit – Irene Lane, CPA, Sonnenberg & Co.
b) $10,000 Donation to HERE UNITE Local 30 Strike Fund
c) $10,000 COPE Donation to SD Labor Council Independent Expenditure Campaign Opposing Kevin Faulconer for Board of Supervisors
d) $5,000 COPE Donation to San Diego Education Association in Support of their Board Campaigns
e) $5,000 COPE Donation to San Diego County Democratic Party
f) Endorsements of the Following Candidates:
i) Esther Sanchez, Mayor of Oceanside
ii) Amber Kae, Oceanside City Council
iii) George Gastil, Lemon Grove City Council
iv) Seth Smith, Lemon Grove City Council
