Dear Colleagues,
As you may know by now, vote by mail ballots are being mailed this week from the Registrar of Voters.
This year, we are going to try something new. We want to put on a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) drive for mail voters this Saturday, October 13th. Our goal is to talk to (at the door or by phone) EVERY targeted voter south of interstate 8 in the City of San Diego. How do we do that? With your help!
Each union is looking for at least 25 walkers/phone bankers for this Saturday. We know ½ of votes cast in this election will be by mail… we need to reach these folks and encourage them to mail their ballots in!
Can you commit to attending (and possibly bringing some friends/family members) on this Saturday, October 13th at 9:00 a.m. at the AFT office (3737 Camino del Rio South)? Hosted by the Labor Council, we will hear from Congressional candidates Scott Peters and Juan Vargas, Assemblywoman Toni Atkins, SD Councilmember David Alvarez and other special guests confirmed for that morning!
