Stand for justice! Sign in support of institutionalizing Dreamer Centers and reallocating resources from police to student services & programs in SDCCD (12/10/2020)

Please sign the following two AFT Local 1931- endorsed statements. We are collecting signatories to the following statements that will be presented to the SDCCD Board of Trustees meetings. We are also asking our colleagues and fellow union-members to send in written statements of support for the content of the following two statements to be shared during the public comment section of the next SDCCD Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, December 17th. (Details in the survey and in graphics below).

It is urgent for us to support educational access and civil rights for our Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian-American other students of color, as well as immigrant, refugee, and LGBTQ students during this difficult period of budget crisis, austerity, and racial/social injustice. Please stand for justice with fellow AFT Local 1931 faculty, classified professionals, campus workers, students, and community members across the district. We are especially encouraging faculty, classified professionals, and campus workers from the SDCCD and GCCCD to sign in solidarity.

Signed,

AFT Local 1931 Immigrant Student Support Committee
