Speakers Announced for the Solidarity + Strength Festival on April 26

Solidarity and Strength Festival: Powerful Speakers Announced for PFF and CCE’s Inaugural Event

San Marcos, CA — The Council of Classified Employees (CCE), AFT 4522, and the Palomar Faculty Federation (PFF), AFT 6161, are proud to announce the inspiring speakers for the highly anticipated Solidarity and Strength Festival. The festival, to be held at Palomar Community College’s main campus on April 26, 2025, promises to be an extraordinary celebration of labor, freedom, and unity.
The Solidarity and Strength Festival brings together community members, Palomar performing artists, student groups, and car enthusiasts who will be anchored by labor-minded speakers from one of the country’s largest unions. Highlighting community and worker strengths, CCE and PFF have confirmed keynote appearances by:

  • Allison Crawford, National Representative, American Federation of Teachers (AFT)
    A key driver in strengthening AFT’s capacity to advance workers’ rights across the nation, Crawford join us from the national office in D.C.
  • Juan Ramirez, Executive Vice President, California Federation of Teachers
    An experienced California teacher in both elementary grades and adult education, Ramirez joins the stage as an experienced union leader as well.

Additional Highlights of the Festival Include:

  • Car Show: Local auto enthusiasts will exhibit their best.
  • Interactive Booths: Have fun with Palomar College student and employee groups while learning about them.
  • Performances: College dancers, musicians, and spoken word artists will inspire action and solidarity.
  • Food Trucks: Various vendors will have delicious food available for purchase.

As we face new challenges at home and abroad, the Solidarity and Strength Festival aims to remind us that collective action, compassion, and collaboration are essential for creating a just and equitable future for all.
