Hi Colleagues,
I am writing to share this event with you; it is the second part to what the Ethnic Studies Department hosted in February- this time it is aimed at informing staff/faculty in our District about housing opportunities that are available to them as San Diego residents, including programs for low income, middle income, and BIPOC residents. There is also information about SDHC homeownership grants for purchasing homes in South Bay.
This information will provide an opportunity for you to become aware of programs that are available for you and your families, and will have the same presenters that joined us in February: Sujata Raman, a representative from the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) and Eric Hellon, a San Diego real-estate expert. The students were pleased with the presentation, but we wanted to offer it again tailored specifically for faculty and staff to make them aware of these programs to assist with homeownership.
This event will be held on Thursday, April 4th, from 5-6:30pm in Room 17-100 (in Parking Lot 1).
The flyer is attached, please share with any colleagues in your departments, or community members you feel would benefit from the information!
Thank you!
