Dear AFT Guild Member Colleagues,
As we begin a new academic year and prepare for the various member sponsored events that we will offer, we also want to encourage AFT member participation in the San Diego Labor Day March on Monday, September 1st at 10am at Waterfront Park.

We have seen record member participation for events like the Padres, the Zoo and the Family Picnic–upwards of 500 folks for each of these events.
We want to break those records by showing up to the march to stand up to the current assaults on labor, education, and our students and their communities. We want to be AFT Strong!
The San Diego Labor Council and No Kings organizers will be working together to create a peaceful, non-violent march similar to the record breaking 80k person march a few months back.
So, look to your colleagues. family and neighbors, encourage them to join you, wear your AFT t-shirt and let’s show up strong as AFT Guild, Local 1931!
