Dear Colleagues,
We are in the process of recruiting a new cohort of students to serve in our paid AFT Student Intern program in the fall. Would you please consider sending your best and brightest our way?
We are looking for students with an interest in unions and progressive politics who would like to intern with AFT for the fall semester. Students can be enrolled in any local institution of higher education, but a priority will be given to GCCCD and SDCCD students.
The program requirements are:
1) Available to attend a meeting every Monday from 3-4 in the AFT office in Mission Valley;
2) Enroll in our Labor Studies class at City College from 7-10 PM on Tuesday nights in the fall semester.
3) Available to perform 4 hours of labor/community work every week.
The position pays $15/hour and we cover all costs of the Labor Studies class upon the successful completion of the course.
