Dear AFT Guild Members,
We just got word the Governor has signed AB 1690 and SB 1379, our sponsored part-time faculty job security legislation!
Although these bills will not impact our CBAs in the SDCCD or GCCCD as they already contain the provisions these bills provide for, this is indeed a historic piece of legislation, and a huge step forward in addressing the dignity and respect our part-time faculty statewide deserve but are far too often lacking.
