Dear AFT Guild Member Colleagues,
As many of you know, our local has been involved in efforts to create more robust funding streams for the K-12 and community college system for decades. Currently, we are working to extend Prop 55 permanently and in order to do so we will need your help and support.
Attached is a timeline of our AFT Guild Statewide Funding Activism over the past 15 years that provides some background and context that leads to the current moment–an opportunity to make these past victories permanent with the Children’s Education and Health Care Protection Act Ballot Initiative.
Please sign the petition and encourage your friends, family and students to do so as well. We are pushing for signatures throughout the month of March.
