Hello Labor Family,

This May Day, we are marching for a $25/hr minimum wage for hospitality workers! Join us alongside UNITE HERE Local 30, IATSE Local 122, and SEIU USWW as we rally through downtown. The march will begin at San Diego Bayfront Park and end at the Civic Center Plaza as part of our fight for the San Diego Service Worker Minimum Wage Ordinance, which we will be working on passing this year.

What: May Day March
When: May 1st @ 4 PM
Where: San Diego Bayfront Park (Gull St. & Park Blvd)

The ordinance includes both tipped and non-tipped workers in the City of San Diego’s union and non-union hotels. If passed, it will affect hotel, stagehands, and janitorial positions in the City of San Diego, coming into effect as early as January 1, 2025.

We are expecting over 1,500 workers to join our May Day March, and we will be hearing from workers, labor leaders, and other community leaders. We look forward to marching in solidarity with all of you.

In Solidarity,
San Diego & Imperial Counties Labor Council
