There are several actions taking place on May Day, please try to participate or send your students:
11am Rally at City College
12pm Rally at Civic Center followed by a march to the future Wal-Mart site in Sherman Heights.
3:30pm Rally and march from Roosevelt Middle to the Board meeting with San Diego Education Association to support the SDUSD teachers.
5:30pm Chicano Park celebration
Occupy San Diego Labor Solidarity event at 4-6 pm at the Civic Center, which is sponsored by several unions including our local. The emphasis of this event is to raise awareness and build solidarity around current labor struggles, including a march led by UNITE-HERE to the Westin Hotel to protest unfair labor practices.
