Helping those we serve fight COVID-19
Our union has swung into action on all fronts to help guard against the new coronavirus. Yesterday, the AFT and UNITE HERE—which together represent educators, healthcare professionals, public employees, hotel and airport workers, food service employees, and warehouse and casino workers—called on the federal government to issue clear national guidance and take decisive action to support these workers and the people they care for, most notably through a policy on paid sick time. The AFT has posted help for custodians on cleaning practices, along with a full array of AFT resources to safeguard your workplace.
