AFL-CIO: America’s Unions
Jim,
Confused about health insurance? You’re not alone.
That’s why I want to make sure you know about a critical deadline next week for individuals and families who don’t get health insurance benefits through an employer. If you want health care coverage on Feb. 1 through the new Health Insurance Marketplace, you need to enroll in a plan by Thursday, Jan. 15.
Fortunately, Working America (the community affiliate of the AFL-CIO) is here to help.
Visit WorkingAmericaHealthCare.org to get the info you need and connect with an expert who can help you find a plan in the insurance marketplace that is right for you and your family.
As part of Working America, working people get a chance to be heard in the political debate and to make positive changes in their communities; and through our letters and phone calls, we helped win health care reform. Now, we’re making sure that everyone can make the most of the newly available health care benefits and get the coverage they need.
There are tens of thousands of health plans out there, and we know that figuring out which is the right one for you can be confusing and frustrating. Whether you’re currently uninsured or you just want to explore your options, Working America Health Care will connect you with an expert who can guide you through the process.
In addition, by signing up through WorkingAmericaHealthCare.org, you receive a couple other big advantages:
Health Advocate — Our support doesn’t end when you sign up. With Working America, you’ll have access to an independent, personal health care advocate who can help you navigate the health care system when you need it most.
Dental and Vision Discounts — Working America knows that real people need real health care. That’s why our plans include eligibility for dental and vision discounts through Union Plus.
Remember, the next enrollment deadline for coverage in the Health Insurance Marketplace is next week. If you want to have coverage in place on Feb. 1, visit WorkingAmericaHealthCare.org and enroll in a plan by Thursday, Jan. 15.
Start 2015 with the peace of mind that your health is covered.
In solidarity,
Karen
