Subject: Volunteers Needed: Asylum Seekers Emergency Response Needs (InterFaith Services)
Date: September 21, 2023 at 9:58:12 AM PDT
Dear Labor Family,
Asylum seekers have been arriving in San Diego County since 9/13/2023. Interfaith is leading the response efforts among community partners, and in just 5 days, they have already assisted over 177 individuals! Asylum seekers are being dropped off at transit centers without any resources. Each day, up to 50 to 200 or more people are being dropped off by border patrol, and this situation is quickly becoming a crisis. The supplies needed can be found on the attached flyer, and a volunteer sign-up link is provided below.
We need your support!
There are many ways to help either by helping in person or donating items/money.
