Dear Federal Workers and Families,

The ongoing government shutdown has created immense hardship for thousands of workers and their families across California. As a Labor Movement, our solidarity and coordination are our greatest strength. We want to be clear: no worker should bear this burden alone, whether you are being forced to work without pay or are locked out of your job.

We are mobilizing every resource to support you. To help you navigate this difficult time, we want to invite you and your members to a Zoom Layoff Assistance Session.

SESSION DETAILS:
Date: Wednesday, October 29th
Time: 3:00 PM
Format: Virtual via Zoom

[CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE SESSION]

This session will provide critical updates and guide you through the resources available, including:

  • Financial Support: How to file for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits and a dedicated EDD resource line for federal workers.
  • Essential Needs: Information on accessing food banks, diaper banks, and other community support.
  • Union Resources & Support: An overview of the dedicated assistance available through unions in California.

We know this is a challenging time, but you are not alone. Please register for the session using the link above to receive the Zoom connection details and get your questions answered.
