Event with First Lady Dr. Biden (01/21/2021)

Jim,

I’m excited to announce first lady Jill Biden has invited National Education Association President Becky Pringle and me to join her tomorrow as she thanks educators. The virtual event with the first lady will begin at 6 p.m. EST.

Today, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris signaled that we are beginning a new era. Biden signed 17 executive orders dealing with the crises America is facing. These orders address issues we have fought for, such as ending the Muslim ban and continuing protections against evictions and for those with student debt. We’re expecting swift movement on helping schools and educators deal with the pandemic. And the fact that, on their first full day, they’ve invited us to an official event with them shows that they recognize educators matter.

If you want to join me virtually as I chat with our new first lady, register here and we’ll send you the link tomorrow. Click here to register and please share the registration for with your members.

In unity,
