Dear Colleagues,
One of our instructors who teaches in the Navy program at the 32nd Street
naval station, Dan Herrington, was recently called up to active duty and
sent to Iraq.
Tragically, the vehicle Dan was riding in hit an anti-tank mine in the
roadway, near where Dan was sitting.
Dan received serious shrapnel wounds to both legs.
He has since been returned home and is being treated at Camp Pendleton.
At this time, Dan and his family are in need of financial donations. AFT
has already sent him $500. Any donations you can send would be most
appreciated by Dan and his family.
