Join Mesa College’s sociologists, along with NextUP, FAST Scholars, and HIS, for the second lunchtime event in the Care & Society Film Series. This Friday from 12-1pm we’ll watch the short documentary, I Am Somebody, about a 1970 strike lead by Black hospital workers who organized to leverage collective power against incredible odds. A guest speaker will discuss how students currently build collective power against incredible odds as well, like Mesa College’s Propelled by Protests series last fall.
