Due to the fact that the venue we were scheduled at was outdoors, and since it’s supposed to be raining pretty heavily at that time, we are canceling this event for tomorrow.
However, we will re-schedule this forum to immediately follow our next AFT Guild Union Meeting at Mesa College on December 5th with the forum beginning at 4:45pm. Hope you can make it then!

Dear AFT Guild Members,
Come be a part of a discussion about the upcoming presidential election! You are cordially invited to join members of AFT 1931’s COPE committee at Tiger! Tiger! at 3025 El Cajon Boulevard (https://www.tigertigertavern.com) for a no-host happy hour discussion of a possible AFT 1931 endorsement for President in the upcoming California primary this March.
At this gathering, members of the COPE committee will be collecting member feedback on whether to endorse in the primary, and, if so, who. Any determination we come up with here will be brought to the December AFT meeting for formal consideration.
Where do the leading candidates stand on labor, education, the environment and other issues? Who best aligns with our principles and core values? These and other issues will be up for discussion.
We have the back room of Tiger! Tiger! reserved beginning at 5:30 and ending promptly at 7:30, so we’ll leave some time for folks to order beverages and food before beginning the discussion at 6:00 PM. Feel free to bring a friend but only AFT members in good standing can make motions or vote.
