1) Our last AFT Guild Union Meeting of this academic year will be held this Thursday, May 6th, from 3:00-4:30 at: The DoubleTree Hotel in Mission Valley in the Brickstones Room.

2) June 8th Election Endorsements
The registrar of voters has already begun mailing out “vote by mail” ballots. Below are our endorsements for the upcoming election:
Proposition 13-Tax Assessment for Seismic Retrofit YES
Proposition 14-Top Two Primary NO
Proposition 15-California Fair Elections Act YES
Proposition 16-Two-Thirds Approval for Local Public Power NO
Proposition 17-Alter Auto Insurance Company Regulations NEUTRAL

3) No More Cuts to Education Rally
A rally sponsored by Educate for the Future against budget cuts to education will be held this Saturday, May 8th, beginning at 10:00am on the corner of 6th and Laurel in Balboa Park (see attached flier).
