1) 81st AFT Convention in Seattle
The 81st Biennial Convention of the American Federation of Teachers will be held at the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle, WA, from Thursday, July 8, continuing through Sunday, July 11, 2010. All AFT Guild members in good standing are eligible to be nominated as a delegate to the convention. To be nominated, please download and complete the attached form.
2) Majority Vote Budget Ballot Initiative Qualifies for November Ballot!
Many thanks to all of you who helped gather signatures for the Majority Vote Budget Ballot Initiative which will now be appearing on the November ballot! Our local collected more signatures than any other CFT local in the state, and nearly twice as many as the second place finisher! Great work!!!
