Dear Mesa College AFT Members,
With the advent of the new decade, we are starting twice per semester AFT site meetings at each campus.
Our goal is to establish a permanent AFT liaison council at each campus, with one contract faculty member and one adjunct faculty member from each department, and one classified staff member from each work area making up the council.
Our first meeting will be held this Thursday, February 17th, from 1:30-2:30pm, in room H-310.
Many of your departments/areas have already named your liaison(s). If you have not done this yet, please designate an AFT liaison to attend these meetings.
Even if you are not your area’s liaison, these meetings are open to all faculty and staff.
In addition to reviewing the new Resource Allocation Formula, we will be discussing upcoming contract negotiations, and the State/District budget situation. This will also be your opportunity to bring forth any site specific concerns you may have regarding your working conditions at Mesa College.
