Subject: Guild Files Second Unfair Practice Charge Regarding Negotiations Delay

Dear GCCCD AFT Members,
Last Friday the Guild filed its second Unfair Practice Charge with the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) regarding the District’s continued delay in negotiations. The details of the charge are in the attached document beginning on page four.
If you don’t have time to open the attachment, the short summary of the charge is that we are still waiting for financial data from the last fiscal year which closed on June 30, 2018. The District had a report due (containing the majority of the items we are requesting) on October 10th that they just recently submitted. How many faculty would be allowed to submit an important report two months late??
We are hopeful that things will change for the better once the new Board members are sworn in tomorrow.
