Dear AFT Guild Members,
Our last Union meeting of this academic year will be held this Thursday, May 2nd, beginning at 3:00pm on the rooftop of the César Chávez Campus. The address is 1901 Main Street and there are two levels of parking inside the building. It’s a little tricky to find the entrance from the street if you have never been there before. (See the attached photo below–enter the parking structure where the yellow star is.) Once you park, take the elevator up to the third floor, and then follow the signs to the roof entrance.
We will also be having a Zoom webinar option where you will be able to listen to the meeting and ask questions in the chat. Click here for the Zoom link.
Attached is the tentative agenda for this Thursday’s meeting. We will be voting on the following items:
• $30,000 COPE Donation to Fund SDCCD Bond Poll
• $5,500 COPE Donation to David Alvarez Campaign for Assembly
• $2,200 COPE Endorsement and Donation to José Rodriguez for National City City Council, D2
• $5,000 Free Speech Plaque Installation
• $1,000 New Roots Community Garden
• $1,000 Rock Camp for Gxrls San Diego
• $1,000 Mesa College ClassiCon

Lastly, our post-meeting get together will be held at: Liberty Call Distilling Co., 1985 National Ave, San Diego, 92113 (one block from our meeting). They have a full menu including plenty of food and non-alcoholic drink selections.
