Dear GCCCD AFT Guild Members,
Please find attached the calendars that are being proposed for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years. A couple of items of note:
- Due to Veterans Day in Fall 2021 falling on a Thursday and thus not allowing for enough Thursday instructional days during the semester, the week of Thanksgiving will not be a week of instruction so that we can add a full week of instruction to the calendar without any holidays. The campuses will still be open Monday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, there just won’t be any classes in session during those three days.
- The Aug 8th semester start date in the 2022-2023 calendar will likely move to Aug 15th and that fall semester will end a week later than what is shown.
