You’re Invited: AFT Town Hall Confronting the Climate Crisis & the 2020 Election
We’re excited to invite you and your members to a nationwide town hall addressing the climate crisis and the 2020 election. In this moment, our country is dealing with four crises – a pandemic, an economic crisis, a racial justice crisis and a climate emergency. The climate crises has stretched far beyond dangerous weather, it is inextricably linked to the structural racism and inequality that has hurt communities long after the storm is gone. We can fight for solutions to the climate crisis, create millions of good union jobs that help save our environment but that starts with a leader in the White House who actually acknowledges that climate change is real. Join us for a critical conversation about what is at stake and how we organize to win in November and beyond. Please spread the word and we’ll see you on October 8th.
