REMINDER: Teachers, Staff, and Students Fight for $15 Rally TOMORROW

Dear Colleagues,
YOU’RE INVITED to join us tomorrow for a brief rally at 3:00 PM at City College and a march to the Civic Center to demand economic justice for all.  Our communities and our families need and deserve our support!
As we continue our work to raise awareness about the need for part-time and hourly pay equity in higher education for both faculty and classified staff, we also stand by our students, many of whom are low-wage part-time workers in the same local communities we serve and reside in, many of them family and friends.
Join us in the fight for economic justice for ALL!
Specifically, this electoral year will give us all the chance to vote to raise the minimum wage here in San Diego to $11.50/hour with 5 earned sick days in June and then likely another chance to raise the statewide minimum wage to $15/hour in November.
We also hope to have an extension of Proposition 30 on the ballot so 2016 offer us an opportunity to do some great things in the service of social, educational, and economic justice for all of us.
The time to start raising awareness about all of these issues is now.
Don’t Miss It!
In Unity,
Jim
