Dear Colleagues,
Tomorrow your AFT Local 1931 along with our community allies will hold a press conference on the impact of the budget cuts on K-12 through UC education in California. SDCCD Board Member Peter Zschiesche, SDUSD Board member Richard Barrera, SDEA President Camille Zombro, UC AFT President Fred Lonidier, along with a CFA representative from SDSU, parents from local K-12 schools, and community college students will address the past, present, and future impact of budget cuts on San Diego's educational institutions and call for progressive solutions.
This press conference will take place on the steps of the B Building (just off Park Boulevard) on the San Diego City College campus at 1:00.
