DESCRIPTION:Dear AFT Guild Union Members\, \nWelcome back to the new semester! \nOur first Union meeting of this academic year will be held in-person this Thursday\, September 1st\, beginning at 12:15pm at the Educational Cultural Complex\, 4343 Ocean View Blvd. \nWe will be trying something a little bit different for this meeting\, and hence the earlier than usual start time.  We will be taking advantage of the fact that this is the SD College of Continuing Education’s professional development week\, which will hopefully afford us a higher turnout\, in addition to being able to meet outside with lunch served! \nThere is ample parking in the lot in front of the building.  We will be outside behind the building\, so just park\, enter the main entrance\, walk up the stairs\, and then proceed through the lobby to the outside area.  Try to arrive as close to 12:00 as you can so we can get the food distributed and start the meeting on time. \nAlthough we will be outside\, we will still be requiring everyone to wear their masks when they aren’t eating or drinking. \nIn case you can’t make it in person\, we will also be having a Zoom webinar option where you will be able to listen to the meeting\, ask questions in the chat\, and to vote.  Click here for the Zoom link. \nAttached is the tentative agenda for this Thursday’s meeting.  At this meeting we will be voting on the Guild’s budget for the 22-23 fiscal year in addition to several items relating to the upcoming November elections. \nPlease let me know if you have any items you would like to see added to the agenda. \nHope to see you in-person on Thursday! \nIn Unity\,\nJim\nJim Mahler\, President\n\nUnion Agenda September 2022
