12/3 Climate Action Information w/ bus details

Hello,

I am writing to invite you to endorse and mobilize for the largest Southern California action for Climate Justice…possibly ever. On December 3, nearly a thousand nurses will join with members of ATU, Courage Campaign, A3PCON Sierra club, 350.org <http://350.org> , Communities for a Better Environment, Food & Water Watch, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice and over 18 endorsing organizations to speak out for Climate Justice Now! We have a bus going from San Diego!

All are invited to join this event calling for real action at the upcoming Paris Climate Summit (known as COP21), which is being called “the planet’s last chance.” If the 180 nations attending the summit fail to negotiate an enforceable agreement to limit carbon gas emissions, we risk an increase in global temperature that will usher in irreversible devastating effects that will threaten life itself.

If COP21 succeeds, we gain the chance to save ourselves, our communities, and our health.

The U.S. is one of the largest producers of greenhouse gases. As such – and as the world’s wealthiest nation – the U.S. commitments at the summit will, in many ways, shape whether or not COP21 succeeds or fails. Americans committed to leaving a future for our children are speaking out and telling the U.S. delegation to deliver results for Our Planet: Our Health!

This convergence will be Southern California’s best chance to remind the summit’s delegates that it’s our last chance to save our planet. We hope you will join this exciting event and send a strong message to our US delegation to take action now! Let me know how many activists will be coming with your group on the bus! Thanks in advance for helping spread the word too!

Get on the bus!
